Mission and Vision Mission
To promote, encourage and develop the broadest possible cooperation between the peoples and Governments of Costa Rica and the United States of America, in all fields of human endeavor, through the exchange of knowledge, specialized assistance and technical support, for the execution and improvement of policies and programs that lead to sustainable development, and to the mutual and general benefit of both countries.
Vision
To be an effective facilitator of cooperation mechanisms between the peoples and Governments of Costa Rica and the United States of America, within the context of sustainable development, in order to improve the quality of life of Costa Rican citizens.
Guiding Principles
Integrity
Integrity is the basis of our Foundation. The Founding Members, Directors and the Staff of CR-USA are expected to adhere to and display the highest standards of integrity in all decisions, conduct and activities related to the institution.
Honesty
The Founding Members, Directors and the Staff of CR-USA will be honest in their intentions and in their actions. They will strictly adhere to actions that are fair and appropriate, and will be unyielding and firm in the face of actions that may be considered wrongful or unacceptable, in part or in whole.
Professionalism
The Founding Members, Directors and the Staff of CR-USA will fully
discharge the responsibilities assigned to them, being honest in their
commitment to fulfill the Foundation’s objectives, as well as in the
requirements, tasks and expectations pertaining to their position. They
will use their time to the best of their abilities and focus on
achieving CR-USA’s mission, vision and objectives, in accordance with
its policies. All decisions taken will be transparent, open and will be
executed independently of outside influences.
All taken decisions will be visible, will be opened and executed independently of strange influences.
Precision
The Foundation will keep accurate and precise records of all its financial activities as well as documents related to the project proposals submitted for its consideration. Decision-making will be based on an impartial assessment of the possible options. Projects will be evaluated on their merits and on the moral caliber of the beneficiaries.
Responsibility
The Founding Members, Directors and the Staff of CR-USA will be held
accountable for their actions by their institution, their profession
and by those who place their trust in the Foundation.
Implementing Our Mission
CRUSA fulfills its mission to promote the broadest possible cooperation between the peoples and Governments of the United States of America and Costa Rica, through its project funding activities, among others.
Thanks to the opportunities afforded by the donated funds, CRUSA has secured the joint collaboration of recognized institutions of both countries to implement projects with great national impact, in the different thematic areas supported by the Foundation.
