Who Are We?
CRUSA is a private, independent, non-political and non-profit Costa Rican foundation with two strategic orientations: it provides funding for projects in its four areas of interest (Environment, Education, Science and Technology and Strategic Capacity), and works to develop and promote large-scale initiatives, partnerships and support networks.
In order to contribute to Costa Rica’s sustainable development, CRUSA donates resources from its Endowment Fund, but also uses its financial solidity, credibility and administrative capacity to leverage resources from third parties and raise funds for the projects and initiatives that it supports.
The Costa Rica Endowment Fund administered by the Foundation was donated autonomously by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in 1996.
In compliance with its mandate to maintain the real value of its original Endowment, the resources donated by CRUSA come from the yields generated by the investment of its original capital.

The Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) certify that the CRUSA's
operational and administrative management, fulfills world-wide
